A top choice each year for the NBA cards, especially among Rookie Patch Autograph (RPA) collectors, the 2022-23 Panini National Treasures Basketball provides a plethora of hits in the 10-card hobby box. RPAs are among the biggest chases in the product. These are also popular stops for rookie collectors. Since 2009-10, the beginning of Panini’s NBA exclusive, National Treasures has categorized the most valuable and prestigious Rookie Cards in the sport. These on-card signatures are joined by the oversized premium swatches and additional levels of parallels add rarity to the collection.

1. The Bennedict Mathurin Rookie Card – Indiana Pacers

The 21-year-old Bennedict Mathurin is a Canadian professional basketball player playing for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association. The no. 6 in the pick, he has an average of 20.8 points through five games of his own. The Bennedict Mathurin basketball NBA card produced by Panini has an official RC logo in the upper left corner region of the card. It peaks with the one-of-one RPA Logoman versions of the NBA card collection. Additionally, these cards are numbered from ‘1 of 309’, on the back which means only 309 of these cards were produced. Since all of these cards have ‘1 of 309’ on the back, this card isn’t necessarily the first one that was made. It is however still a limited and special card for collectors to collect.

2. Paolo Banchero Rookie Cards To Collect

Paolo Banchero is an American professional basketball player playing for the Orlando Magic of the National Basketball Association. He became the third player in NBA history to score more than 20 points in 15 of his first 20 games as a rookie. With the biggest NBA debut since Lebron James, Paolo Banchero just put the league on notice. The first pick of the 2022 NBA Draft is a part of the multi-swatch Rookie Material Autographs line of the Panini National Treasures Basketball NBA cards collection. While there aren’t a lot of options to choose from, the Rookie Materials Signatures Triple has emerged that should satisfy the collectors until reinforcements arrive. The collection offers the best Paolo Banchero rookie cards out there so far.

3. Retro 2010 Rookie Patch Autographs: Jaden Ivy’s Showboat

Jaden Ivey has a future that’s probably just as bright as any other player in basketball. The 5th overall pick in the last draft is one of the best overall athletes in his rookie class and has the potential to be an effective combo guard. There isn’t a huge selection of Jaden Ivey cards to collect yet, but his Rookie Patch Autograph looks like a great investment, with Ivey looking at a very storied career given his stats in his rookie year.

4. Stephen Curry: National Treasures Logoman Autographed Card

The most valuable NBA trading card is Stephen Curry’s National Treasures Logoman autographed card. One of the biggest reasons for this card being the most valuable NBA trading card is it’s Panini’s first super-premium basketball product. It was launched during their first season with the NBA trading card exclusive. Since then, the brand has become the cornerstone for top-level basketball Rookie Cards. The veteran point guard’s card from the 2022-23 Panini National Treasures Basketball NBA cards are available in Peerless Signatures featuring Curry’s signature, along with a jersey from his rookie season. It traded to Alt Fund II for $5.9 million in July 2021. The graded signature on the card scored 10, which is the highest an autographed card can get. If you get this, you really have one in a million luck.

5. Luka Doncic: Largest Rookie Extension in NBA History

Luka Doncic, a veteran player, won the 2019 Rookie of the Year and made his first All-Star appearance in 2020. Featuring a court pass moment and a unique border design, this Panini National Treasure NBA card is expected to see long-term appreciation. Doncic’s game and the buzz surrounding his new rookie NBA card collection are playing their part, but so is Panini. This new signed card is far from scarce, but with numerous rare parallels to allure collectors, even the base card is worth a penny. Doncic puts his name in the legacy of other hall-of-famers with an early propensity for triple-doubles and now sits 11th on that all-time list. The all-time Star has an astronomic average of 33.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 9.5 assists through 13 career playoff games. He also scored six 40-point games in the playoffs in two postseasons. Luka, an incredible player, has skills so advanced that defenses are inadequate to stop him. The serenity of the player bet to notch an NBA card per array.
