5. Shocking change to Minifigure Packaging

LEGO’s decision to steer away from foil bags to cardboard boxes for the Minifigure series hasn’t gone down well with the fans. The 71039 Marvel Series 2 was the first to break away from the earlier packaging. Consequently, the buyers resorted to tearing the boxes to check which minifigure was inside, which led to a ton of torn cardboard left  at stores. The packaging change garnered so much flak that the toy manufacturer had to come up with an explanation for this change. Apparently, in pursuit of achieving sustainable packaging by 2025, the brand tested out many options, including paper bags, and cardboard boxes were seen as the best feasible option.
